Halloween Teddy Bears

What will you be doing this halloween? For many of us it's a time of dressing up in our most spookiest costumes, finding the scariest of masks and going through our kitchen cupboard to find the biggest bowl to hold our haul of sweets, gum and maybe a few friendly fruits. It's a time of year when the nights are drawing in early and the cold air is now upon us. Generally our children are happy to venture out into the streets to knock on a few friendly doors, most of whom display some sort of lantern or other halloween ornament to show they are waiting for a knock on their door. Maybe this year you could turn your hand at making an exciting new costume for your favourite teddy bear. Of course as always there are build-a-bear shops that supply their own ready made outfits but wouldn't it be a lovely gift to your teddy this year if you were to sew together your own special costume. The ideas are endless with the obvious witch or warlock, or maybe a pumpkin or skeleton. Maybe you or a relative can turn your hand to knitting or crochet. Sometimes we have an old pair of trousers in the bottom of the wardrobe that are now only good enough for recycling and turning into a new outfit for your special teddy bear. If this is not for you or you just don't have the time this halloween but would like to treat yourself or someone else to a seasonal teddy bear there are many on sale. TY possibly have the largest selection of halloween bears. Me to You have a great halloween figurine. And Bearigton Bears have a wide selection of pumpkin inspired bears and also a lovely fury black cat basket, a great accompaniment to that wonderful costume.

1st Holy Communion Teddy Bears

With the time soon approaching a childs First Holy Communion it is lovely to see now that there are many teddy bears that can be bought to celebrate this special day. Many of the well known companies such as Tatty Teddy now have their very own special bear just for the occasion.

The are teddy bears that have the chalis or dove embroided on the actual bear itself. Or many bears that have a jumper that has been stitched or embroided with the words First Holy Communion. Many of these give the option to have the childs name and date of communion stitched on too.

Or if you cannot find anything that is suitable then there is always the option of buying a teddy bear and then either buying a separate jumper and having it stitched by a company that sews labels by large machinery and have the wording to your choice. Or stitching your very own jumper which has been hand knitted by yourself or a family member or friend. What could be more personal than a handmade gift.

Sending Teddy Bears

Alongside Valentines Day and Birthdays, Christmas is one of the most popular times for buying and sending teddy bears. We all love to receive a cuddly teddy bear and nowadays a bear can be bought with just about any sentiment written on it.

Whether you want only a teddy bear, or also to buy it with chocolates, balloons or flowers you will not find it hard to buy an appropriate bear for your loved one, relation or friend and the look of happiness when it is received makes it all worth while when you are sending teddy bears.

There are many florists that will now send a teddy bear with flowers. Also, chocolatiers will give a wide choice of bears that can be bought to send with that sumptuous box of chocolates. Many online balloon companies will give you the chance to select a teddy bear, balloon and chocolates too if that's your requirement!!

But if it's a lone teddy bear or with a mixture of comforting goodies teddy bears are that special gift that we can treasure for years to come.

Get Well Teddy Bears

Cheer someone up with a get well teddy bear. Bears come in many sizes and can be accompanied by one of many various cards that are on sale. The decorative gift bags are numerous and can often be matched up with the bear itself. There are many products on the market now to choose from when looking for get well teddy bears. As large companies like Forever Friends and Me to You have matching gift paper and bags. These and many other bears can be bought with appropriate phrases such as "get well" and "thinking of you". Whether the recipient is at home, in hospital or at work it is more than appreciated when you realise someone is thinking of you.

Another well known bear that comes to mind when we think of being poorly is Pudsey Bear. He is the mascot for Children In Need and widely recognised with his yellow body and spotty eye patch. A wonderful bear that comes to mind when we are in need of some comfort when we are feeling a bit low.
