Build-A-Bear Workshop

The Christmas spending season is upon us once again. And with Build-A-Bear Workshop now showing their lovely new items for this season we have lots of wonderful christmas teddy bears to give as that special christmas gift.

At Build-A-Bear Workshop you get a whole experience. You have many different bears of all types of textures and colours. A wide range of clothing especially sized for your choice of teddy bear or animal! Once you've chosen your bear or animal you then choose a noice and name for your bear. Then you get to stuff your bear yourself with lots of love. Your finished bear is now a special creation all of your own!!

There are many lovely christmas items on sale this season. There is a wonderful red Sherpa Scarf and Hat set and also a gorgeous new elf and hat set. Also on sale is a lovely red holiday bear carrier. Keeping with the christmas spirit, there is also an adorable Mrs Clause Curly Teddy. She comes complete with dress and velvet quilted red flats and a Santa Bearemy complete with Santa costume, Santa beard and black bubber Boots.

Boyds Bears

The Boyds Collection Limited has been established since 1979. Making wonderful handmade plush teddy bears. This started as a small company in Boyds, Maryland and has now established itself just outside Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

With a variety of bears on sale, there are different collections such as the Heirloom Collection and Bakerly Collection. With Bear of the Month, Special Editions and their adorable Fluffwees you will be more than satisfied with this outstanding variety of plush bears. Not only do they make these adorable bears but also other animal friends. Figurines, pottery, home décor and much more is now on sale.



If you can make a visit to Boyds Bear Country you will have a fantastic time. They have their own factory that you are able to participate and make your very own Boyds Bear. What a fantastic teddy bear to add to your very own collection. Why not take a look around the museum to read and see the history of the Boyds Bear. And if that's not enough to tempt you why don't you visit their very own adoption centre. Here you are able to choose from a variety of different packages where you can adopt your very own plush bear cub. Each comes with it's own adoption certificate and other accessories. And don't leave without the nurse taking a photo of you and your new cub to commemorate the special day!!

Big Teddy Bears

Teddy bears come in all sizes. They range from very small teddy bears to very big teddy bears. The worlds largest teddy bear, Evan, holds the new world record reaching a staggering 61 feet tall. The largest stitched teddy bear measures an amazing 55ft 4in in length. This bear was exibited in Kansas, USA.

Some other interesting record breakers for teddy bears are the longest soft toy/human chain. This included 2,623 people, each holding a soft toy and was held in South Africa. The largest collection of Winnie the Pooh Bear and Friends is held by Deb Hoffmann from the USA. Her collection contains 4,405 different items. The most expensive teddy bear was sold at auction on 14 October 2000 at Christie's, Monaco.


It's a Guinness World Italian Record.

Teddy Bear Baskets

Teddy bears come in all colours and sizes and can be matched up with accessories to mark any special occassion. A new born, birthday, valentine, a missed love one, an apoplgy......there are countless reasons to send a Teddy Bear Basket.



Here are some useful tips for making your own Teddy Bear Basket.

1. When choosing your basket think about the depth and width. Make sure it is high enough that nothing will fall out. Will you require a handle.
2. You will need a filling like shredded paper. This could be in a neutral colour or red for example for Valentine. Make sure to stuff it well. It will help to hold everything in place and stop smaller items from sinking out of sight.
3. Place your teddy bear and accessories into the basket. Play around with them until you get your desired affect.
4. You will need a piece of cellophane large enough to wrap round the entire basket tying at the top. This can be done with a staple gun.
5. You will need at least two ribbons. One to be wrapped round the tied point of cellophane. Hanging down the front of the basket. Once again, staple the point where they cross. With the other ribbon make a folding bow. Staple onto the first ribbon in front of the stapled area.
6. Here you have your finished Teddy Bear Basket which you can personalise with a small gift card.
